Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities, Inc. is a Queens, New York non-profit, multi-service organization of professionals providing a variety of comprehensive programs that serve all populations from preschool aged children to senior citizens. For 54 years, these services have included afterschool programs, summer camps, recreation, college bound, SUNY ATTAIN Lab, drug rehabilitation, senior centers, food pantry and career pathways.
Our mission is to foster positive life changes for individuals and families through skills development leading to self-sufficiency, a sense of accountability, and a strong, empowered community.
Elmcor has developed from a small volunteer organization into a major provider of human services. Today, Elmcor is one of the largest non-profit community-based service agencies in Queens.

An Evening of Thanks - Jeffrion AubryAt our Agency Basketball Game, we presented Assemblyman Jeffrion Aubry with an Elmcor Champion trophy for his support that allowed us to purchase a new scoreboard for the gymnasium. We also provided 25 Elmcor families with Thanksgiving baskets and turkeys for the upcoming holiday.
Outstanding VolunteersApril 19, 2017 - Outstanding volunteers representing Queens Senior Centers, Adult Day Care Centers and NORC’s (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities) from throughout the Borough of Queens were honored for their commitment to community service. Ms. Patima Bhagwandin, Director of Volunteers, Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation was the featured speaker with a presentation on the Value of Volunteering.
Christina - RISE UP Parent ParticipantElmcor’s Strengthening Families Program has been a great experience for my family and me. I grew up as an only child this experience made it difficult when I had my two children. Prior to my participating in the program, my family didn’t understand my challenges in being a mom to my children. Jason - Recreation ParticipantElmcor is a fun place to come after school. I have been going to Elmcor since the 8th grade and I keep coming back to spend time with my friends and play basketball. I really like the basketball coaches. They teach us that it is important to work hard on and off the basketball court. They also care about our schoolwork, and they don't let us play basketball if we get bad reports from school. (more…)
Elmcor - Eustace“I come out so I am not home all day alone, watching TV. My family spends time with me and helps me on the weekends. Everyone at the Center makes me feel comfortable and we eat lunch together like lifelong friends would and sit and talk.
