Elmcor’s Strengthening Families Program has been a great experience for my family and me. I grew up as an only child this experience made it difficult when I had my two children. Prior to my participating in the program, my family didn’t understand my challenges in being a mom to my children. While attending the program I interacted with other moms who like me also had multiple children and had similar challenges.
With the environment created by Elmcor Facilitators, we were able to share ideas, learn new techniques and establish a connection with each other throughout the duration of the program. Through my participating in the Strengthening Families Program my relationship with my children and my family have improved. I feel very lucky to have been involved with the Strengthening Families Program and that experience with the program, the other parents, and interaction with Elmcor staff has changed my life.
