Summary

The Clubhouse Youth Engagement Specialist is directly responsible for the implementation of services, Member engagement practices and supervision of Clubhouse Peer Specialists.  This position reports directly to the Clubhouse Youth Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise and train youth peer mentors. Complete Member Intakes.
  • Actively promote and engage Members’ participation in Clubhouse activities.
  • Co-facilitate peer led activities.
  • Share personal knowledge and experiences about the youth serving systems and resources available to youth
  • Provide positive youth development activities.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants in the clubhouse.
  • Facilitates evidence based programs and workshops.
  • Conducts community education forums.
  • Facilitates additional pro social and recreational activities.
  • Plans and participates in community cultural and recreational activities.
  • Engage in the ongoing recruitment of Clubhouse Members
  • Participates in staff and team meetings.
  • Represents the Clubhouse at community forums and meetings on prevention and recovery issues.
  • Initiates public information forums as needed.
  • Monitors maintenance and activities of Clubhouse Advisory Committee.
  • Enter all services on a daily/weekly basis into a data entry system and maintain up to date documentation
  • All other assigned tasks

 

Qualifications:

  • First Aid/CPR/AED certifications (Can be obtained after employment)
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, obtain clearance from the Office of Children and Family Services, OASAS and be drug free.

Education and/or Experience:

–          High School Diplomas or GED (minimum requirement)

–          Must have computer skills.

–          Must successfully complete a criminal background check, obtain clearance from the Office of Children and Family Services and be drug free.

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary details: $40,000 an hour.
