Michael-Sean is a results driven attorney and criminal justice policy maker who served as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City, where he prosecuted domestic violence, organized tax evasion and organized commercial theft as a member of the Queens County District Attorney’s specialized Crimes Against Revenue Unit. In 2015, Michael-Sean was appointed an Empire State Fellow in the Division of Criminal Justice by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo. In 2017, Michael-Sean was appointed Special Assistant to the Commissioner of the Division of Criminal Justice by Governor Cuomo. In 2018, Michael-Sean assumed the role of Deputy Director of Criminal Justice Policy & Enforcement at Everytown For Gun Safety, a gun violence prevention organization founded by Mike Bloomberg. In 2019, Michael-Sean was promoted to Director of Policy and Implementation.

Michael-Sean has also appeared on television networks Fuse and BET as a featured guest, New York City radio station Hot 97 as a legal analyst and has spoken at several colleges and universities on professional development and social justice issues.
