Summary:
Under supervision of the Director of the Food Pantry program, provide community food pantry service assistance to participants of the food pantry. Oversight of all funded and non- funded services provided to food pantry participants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain compliance and regulations set forth by Food Bank of NYC and Elmcor.
- Ensures participants safety as required by Fire Department of New York (FDNY).
- Maintains and complies with the standards set by Fire Department of NY, Department of Buildings, Department of Health & Mental Hygiene including, city, state, federal governing guidelines.
- Reports potential unsafe conditions to Building maintenance and Director immediately.
- Ordering of various food items for distribution from Food Bank of NY and Driscoll Foods.
- Maintain compliance and regulations set forth by Food Bank of NYC and Elmcor.
- Maintain compliance and regulations set forth by Food Bank of NYC and Elmcor.
- Input and monitoring of participant served numbers in the Feed NYC portal monthly.
- Account for all funding sources and track its expenditures.
- Maintain proper and accurate inventory of food supplies.
- Maintain program compliance in regards to all due dates of funding grant allocations.
- Oversight of scheduling and tracking of delivery services to eligible senior participants.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in a neat and organized manner.
- Maintain up-to-date resource files, materials and contact information.
- Maintains a display of benefits and resources of information on bulletin boards and/or designated area.
- Conducts outreach of Food Pantry program.
- Meets all deadlines of the assigned duties:
- Monthly Program Report
- Monthly Training Report
- Maintains and all required programmatic certifications.
- Keep all records including enrollment reports and appointments through the Plentiful system.
- Plans and coordinates nutrition and health promotion activities for participants.
- Maintains an accurate list of support linkage groups.
- Provide information and referral to social services support linkages for additional resources.
- Provide oversight of the Food Bank Tax program.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
- Develops alternative solutions with the Director where needed.
- Works with Director in program planning and development.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a related field with 2 years of program management.
- Must receive/obtain First Aid, CPR, AED training.
- Must receive/obtain Food Safety Training.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise the Pantry Assistant and all volunteers in the Food Pantry services department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

$43k annually.
